HEALTH & SCREENING

Physiological signal detection for population health.

Universal ID™'s near-infrared and chemosensory sensing can extend biometric identification into population-health screening — helping flag physiological health signals early, while keeping personal identity fully protected.
01

AI-Enabled Health Signal Monitoring

Artificial intelligence embedded within Universal ID™ can extend biometric identification into population-health signal monitoring. Real-time, privacy-preserving health and biometric mapping is designed to help public-health agencies respond to emerging health signals faster than traditional surveillance data allows — while retaining complete identity masking of personal data and ensuring absolute data privacy.

Built Into What You Already Use

Universal ID™ is customizable for use under smartphone glass, in IoT devices such as cars and key-fob or door-lock replacements, and at checkpoints where security and health screening both matter — airports, contactless banking, supply chain and government facilities. Wherever it's deployed, Universal ID™ can be configured for identity, credentialing, schedule verification and population-health monitoring together.

How It Works: NIR, Ultrasound & Chemosensory Sensing

The underlying system uses a custom capacitive ultrasonic transducer (CMUT) that combines Near-Infrared with Ultrasound (NIR/US) sensing and an olfactory chemosensory (smell) sensor in a single MEMS package, suitable for deployment in mobile phones and other everyday devices.

Detecting Physiological Infection Markers

Covered by U.S. Patent 10,880,303, Universal ID™'s near-infrared scanning can also detect changes in vascular clarity linked to reduced oxygenated blood flow — a signal associated with respiratory illness. Combined with chemosensory detection of infection-related odor signatures, this gives Universal ID™ a non-invasive way to flag potential infection risk during a routine identity scan, without relying on temperature checks, which are easily circumvented with fever-suppressing medication.
